Memphis Area Legal Services, Inc. (MALS) is the primary provider of civil legal representation to low-income families in the western Tennessee counties of Shelby, Fayette, Tipton and Lauderdale. Our mission is to provide excellence in legal advocacy for those in need. Our vision is Justice for those in need. We provide civil legal aid to clients in our four-county service area in our priority areas of family and children issues, housing and real property, income maintenance, health and senior issues, and consumer and individuals rights. In support of our mission and vision, MALS strives to create better outcomes for the underserved and marginalized populations that need civil legal assistance.
