Pacifica is a baseball town. For many living here, baseball has been a part of our lives for multiple generations. For nearly 50 years, Pacifica National Little League has provided baseball training and games to tens of thousands of young players. Maintaining our home fields at Fairway Park relies on the generosity and tireless efforts of volunteers, as well as a close partnership with the City Parks and Recs department. We are in the process of making significant upgrades to our fields that will benefit kids for years to come. You may have noticed upgraded fencing and netting, new field and sponsorship signage, rebuilt pitchers mounds and batters boxes, and upgraded batting cages. We are also working on new scoreboards for each field.

 

Baseball fields require constant maintenance, and occasionally they need large-scale remodeling. Each year our fields lose between 2 and 5 tons of infield dirt, and major replenishments typically are required every 5 to 7 years. It has been over 10 years since we added the specifically formulated infield dirt that is needed for true bounces, removing the outfield "lip", and providing safer play. This year we would like to replenish and level all three of our infield surfaces. While annual registration fees and sponsorships provide funds for year-to-year activities, we need your help to accomplish this long-standing project that will benefit children for years to come. These field upgrades would allow us to bring money into the community with the potential for hosting prestigious Little League All Star events at our home facilities.

 

Everyone cares about the Pacifica youth sports community. Maybe you played with PNLL as a child? Maybe your children, grown up now and playing high school baseball or softball, started their careers at PNLL. Maybe your youngsters are playing now and you'd like to see better facilities at Fairway Park. Whatever the reason, here is a chance to help our league by donating now.
