Dear Friends, we are overjoyed to convey the good news that we have started the construction of the HTCSCI Cultural Center at a Groundbreaking Ceremony today, April 14, 2019. We thank you for your presence and hope that you will share this news with all your family and friends. We know we have your strong support but we also need your presence with us through the process and in all our occasions at the Champaign Hindu Temple so you can witness and be part of the first Community Center for the South Asian community in the Central Illinois area. We also encourage you to stay engaged and get more detailed information on the upcoming Cultural Center & Saints’ Wall Project from your trustees. Maybe you and your friends can sponsor your own patron Saint’s niche!

We are very close to our final goal of raising the construction costs for the Cultural Center. With the present Board’s strategic planning and financial oversight, and your assistance, we assure you that we will soon secure a beautiful meeting venue which will meet all your needs for community gathering: From holding Bhajan Sandhyas, to Language Classes; from Art Workshops to celebrations of joyous occasions like your child’s birthday party. The Saints’ Wall will be a spacious, beautiful venue for many of this community’s needs and may also serve as a wedding hall for your son or daughter when that happy occasion arrives.

With your donations, small or big, this community project will be ready to celebrate an inauguration before 2019 comes to an end. The inauguration day of this venue will itself become an appreciation ceremony for all our wonderful sponsors over the course of the past years.
