Help us make Carrie a night you'll never forget!

Help support the creation of Carrie: The Musical THIS summer. In just 1 month and 10 days we will be taking audiences back to the 70s to explore the trials and tribulations of a seemingly normal high school. The show sheds light on the effects of bullying on teenagers and the cost that it has when unchecked. You can help us make this vision a reality! We are seeking donations for costumes, set, and administrative costs of this production.

As Little Lemon embarks on its seventh year of operation, we could not be more excited about what the future has in store for us. We have successfully expanded our outreach to nine schools—from middle school to college—across four districts. Since January 2024, we have been able to put on three productions tuition-free due to the support from our communities.

What's next for Little Lemon?

-As we expand our reach, we also find the need to expand our season. To serve more members of the community's interests and skill sets, we plan to expand our summer season to include more productions.

-We are also fortunate that as Little Lemon grows, we are able to partake in festivals! Little Lemon Productions will be participating in our first festival in AACT Kaleidoscope 2025 in Spokane Washington this February.

We are currently seeking donations to continue our tuition-free growth!

What your donation means to us!

-Your donations allow us to expand our season from one musical per summer to two without charging tuition!

-Little Lemon sources most of our props, costumes, and set dressing from thrift stores. This means that even a donation of 5 dollars could allow us to afford a vital prop, dress an actor in something that fits their body perfectly, or transform a plain flat into something wonderful!

-Little Lemon has always been dedicated to ensuring that actors have clothing that makes them feel and look their best. For some bodies, that means we spend additional costs on custom pieces that allow all of our actors to be included. We never want someone to feel that their size is prohibiting them from having something to wear. Your donations will allow us to ensure we are always able to be size-inclusive in our costuming.

We are a collection of artists that stepped in to save a beautiful theatrical space and insure that it remained a live performance venue. The arts and artists have faced some serious headwinds these last few years, we can truthfully say, unprecedented challenges. However, we believe that live theatre, art, storytelling, dance and music are inspiring, uplifting and essential parts of our community. This Winter, The New Prospect Theatre team worked to carry on a tradition of giving local performing artists a place to gather, to perform, to inspire audiences and one another, and the chance to change the world for the better, one opening night at a time.

Since launching on December 3rd, 2022, (Thank you Nathan Harris for the drone footage.) we have taken off at a breakneck speed. Already we have kept the promises of adding the Ethos West Stage in the lobby area (donated by Ethos West Construction), and built a floating dance floor over the once-cement stage floor. (Thank you to David and Nancy Huss for their donation, Dan Coffey for assistance with getting the materials, the building team – Onarach Builders, Ephraim and Samuel Kurszewski, Noble Smith, and Keefe Healy, and the Bellingham dance community for their support.) An important step for opening us up to dance and a wider range of performances. We have also updated the light and sound systems, adding new lighting positions, and state-of-the-art sound equipment.

We have truly become a community venue, hosting performances from ten local theatre companies, four live bands, ongoing story hour groups, and open mics, as well as rehearsals, and play readings. Our lobby is also a home for local visual artists and participates in monthly art walks.

New Prospect Theatre needs your support to keep the momentum going, and fulfilling the promise of a diverse, accessible and affordable arts venue for the Bellingham community and beyond. Our next physical projects include soundproofing, a film projector and screen, microphones and cables, and concessions bar completion. Our outreach goals include pay-it-forward tickets, program scholarships, lecture funds, and broader artist outreach.

We continue to honor those who supported this venture from the beginning through their time, energy, and funds. We maintained the name of the theatre as the Lucas Hicks Auditorium and preserved the donor and dedication names on the seats.

Help Little Lemon reach our goal! We are currently in the pre-production stage of Cabaret, and we are looking to you to help us make this production the best it possibly can be! With the growing costs of construction materials, costumes, and props, we are turning to the community for support so we can keep our ticket prices low!

Little Lemon is dedicated to accessible, high-quality productions. One of the biggest ways we achieve that is through low ticket costs and free ticket opportunities. Tickets are, however, the main source of income for theatrical productions and therefore are the first to suffer when production costs rise.
