Honoring Claire: 15k for Block Island Conservancy
Last year, we lost Claire, our big-hearted and one-of-a-kind sister, daughter, and friend, after a long battle with addiction.
Block Island was Claire's happy place - the place she loved the most in the whole world, where she was most free, and the place where she had many of her very best memories.
In her honor, on behalf of our family, I will be running the 15k Run Around the Block Race on September 9, 2023, to raise funds in Claire's name for The Block Island Conservancy, a non-profit dedicated to protecting the island.
Though Claire lost touch with many of those who cared for her, we know she always treasured her past relationships more than you can imagine.
We hope you will consider supporting this effort with a gift of any size. This is not about the amount of money you are able to donate- absolutely any amount is welcome. To add your name, a note, or a song for my race playlist from those that cared for, danced with, or laughed with Claire at any point along her journey will mean the world to our family.
All funds will be contributed to the Block Island Conservancy in Claire's name, so she will have a lasting impact on the place she loved so much.
I may be the last runner on the road, but I will finish the race and your support will help carry me through, in honor of Claire.
