Raising Money for Children with Special Needs
My family is doing a socially distant walk-a-thon on August 22nd to raise money for several programs that benefit children with special needs.  (https://e-sports.org/) - The "E" stands for Exceptional).  I did this 2 years ago, and as a result of the money raised, we launched 2 additional E-Dance programs.  E-Dance is a  program teaching children with special needs to build friendships and develop fine motor skills, while learning fun dance moves.  I’m doing this fundraiser again to meet the needs of this exceptional group of children.

Why are we doing this?
2020 has been a year of uncertainty and disruption.  While everyone has had to adjust to a 'new normal' in the age of COVID19, a group that's been uniquely disrupted by COVID19 are children with special needs.   Not only has the progress many of these incredible kids been interrupted, but due to challenges with attention and fine motor skills, the next few months (hopefully not years), will continue to present a unique challenge for these children.   This has also impacted their tireless parents who have become home-teachers, speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and many other roles at home.  The plan is to raise money for these programs, so that they can continue in a socially distant format enabling these kids to continue making progress socially and physically.

My wife and I have volunteered for children with special needs for 15+ years in various capacities.  We are committed to supporting programs that help children with special needs build relationships with typical kids (inclusion), build confidence, and develop physically.   Any donation will help, thanks in advance.
