Avon Education Foundation

The Avon Education Foundation is raising money to ensure that students in need get the opportunity to shop for their back to school supplies in a fun, one day event. Students are paired with a shopper, and after receiving their supply list, get to shop for their backpack and make choices on which supplies they want. They also receive a free book, free goody bag, personal hygiene items and will receive a free breakfast or lunch. There will be a resource area for parents to meet with the superintendent, principals, nurses, school police, and get information on helpful resources right here in our community.

It will cost about $30 per student and we anticipate 2,000 students in attendance. How many students can you help support? $30 will provide each student with everything they need to return to school on July 29.

Let's help all Avon students get back in the classroom.  What is Avon?  We are a community that helps our own and we want to Supply It Forward by doing a HUGE back to school supply drive for students on free & reduced lunch and any families who have been hit hard by COVID-19.  

We might be a little crazy, but it's only because we're passionate about learning and want all students to have the necessary supplies to get back into the classroom at the end of July.  So, let's do 30 in 30...raising $30,000 in 30 days.  Any leftover funds will be used to purchase necessary items for teachers, such as hand sanitizer, extra masks, gloves and water bottles.  This community helps our own.  #weareavon #weareone #supplyitforward
