Stand with Father Bob: Save The Soup Kitchen
Hello Friends,
I have a favor to ask. I've known Father Bob for over 30 years and he needs our help. The city of Oakland Park has been fining Father Bob and All Saints Catholic Mission—better known as The Soup Kitchen—for doing what they've done for decades: feeding the city's homeless. That's right, for over 10 years, the city has slapped the Soup Kitchen with $125-a-day fines, even on Christmas, for serving hot meals to approximately 200 people a day. This is the only meal for many needy individuals and their families. Without it, they'd have nowhere to turn. Imagine being hungry, desperate, and forgotten—and watching the one place offering hope being punished for helping.
Father Bob and the mission are now drowning in hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines that the city is levying—all for feeding its homeless. The mission can't keep going without our help. The city wants to shut them down, but we can't let that happen. These meals are about more than food—they're about dignity, compassion, and survival.
