Aerial Athletics Athletes are Looking for support from our generous friends! On February 25th, likely a cold day in Duluth, we will be hiking 4.5 miles along Lake Superior wearing boots, long underwear, and a pack.
The purpose is to raise awareness for veteran suicides which have reached more than 110,000 since 9/11. Many of those we are hiking with have come close to being part of that statistic. All the money we raise is going to retrain veterans how to live purposfully and successfully as civilians after they leave the military.
The military weights their pack with clothing, medical gear, ammo, weapons, armor, hygiene gear, chemical suites, and paper for writing home. We will weight our packs as well, adding 1 pound for every $10 donated. The more weight that’s added the warmer we stay on this hike and the weight will be distributed among our team!
Our Gym Community includes many veterans and we LOVE to help the veteran community in any way we can. Please give thought to donating to this close to home charity!
