Help Further Dismantle 3 Strike Law

THANK YOU! As a result of  your support, we have been able to file our initiative, The People's Fair Sentencing & Public Safety Act of 2018. We are in need of your continous support, as the next phase has begun. We must get prepared to start collecting signatures in mid January 2018. This means there will be a need for enormous amount of copying of petitions, talking points, training materials, etc. Help We the People Org get prepared.

California is currently spending over $11 billion a year on prisons.  A large portion of the prisoners do not deserve to be caged for life for their crimes, as their crimes in reality were nonviolent acts. We The People Org is focused on putting in effect an initiative that will change the Three Strike Sentencing Law,  which will help nonviolent prisoners reunite with their families, where they belong. Imagine your child, or even family member getting caught committing a folly act, and if they have two priors, they will be sentenced to 25 years to life or more. Limiting the number of people who go to prison senselessly will allow Califoria to invest more money into our schools, youth crime prevention, and rehabilitation in our communities, rather than building and maintaining prisons to cage people for unnecessary amount of time.
