Hello friends,
I stand before you a humble man with a request for assistance in my time of need. How have I come to be here, you may ask? My story goes like this...
Morgan and I bought a house last summer and moved to Lewisville from Allen. My truck had been in somewhat neglected condition when I inherited it and shortly after moving in to the new house, the increased drive time from Lewisville to Plano wore harder on the truck and became so problematic that we had to spend just over $3k getting the various problems repaired. We thought that was the end of it and that we could survive for at least a year or two without any heavy maintenance on it, so we went about our lives. We had a few debts beforehand and had been planning to pay them off in short order but that hit seemed managable and would only add a little bit more time to our goal's end.
However, less than six months later, the engine has thrown something and the price of repairing it outweighs the value of trying to keep the truck running after the initial investment. I do not relish asking for a handout, but I am at this moment in time unsure of any other recourse I might be able to take in order to keep working.
