Cemetery Road Repairs
The Lutheran Cemetery Association is a small non-profit comprised of two cemeteries, Lutheran Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio & Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, Ohio. We are a Lutheran-based organization, but we accept families of all faiths. We believe that we are all equal in the eyes of the Lord, and act accordingly. At our cemeteries, all families are treated with dignity, respect, and empathy. We help make the hard process of putting a loved one to rest as simple and painless as possible.
As a non-profit, we run on a shoestring budget. We rely on the support of our families and communities to keep our doors open. Unfortunately, over the last few years, we have not had the funds available to keep our roads in good condition. We have attempted to do patch jobs as needed, but patches were just a temporary fix. We are in severe need of major repairs, which are not cheap.
The roads at each cemetery are showing the wear and tear of hundreds of cars each year. Some of the potholes are unavoidable, and only get worse each day. We are hoping to raise enough money to fix the major potholes before they get worse, and fix the minor potholes before they become major issues. We would love to have enough money raised to begin repairs this summer, but it all depends on your generosity.
Estimates to repair just the worst of the roads at each cemetery start at $45,000.00. Besides raising monetary donations, we are looking for any companies who would be willing to donate their time and labor, or materials, to assist us in this undertaking. If you know someone who may be willing to assist us, please contact us at LutheranCemeteryAssociation.org.
As a non-profit, all donations are tax-deductible. When you make a payment to this Certified Charity campaign, you will automatically receive a donation tax receipt by email from PayPal Giving Fund ("How do Certified Charity campaigns work?” GoFundMe Help Center).
We cannot thank you enough for your support. Without the generosity of our families and communities, we would not be able to even consider these repairs. Thank you for opening your hearts to us, and for allowing us to continue to do the Lord's work.
Now that the snow has melted (for now), we are able to really see how bad the roads are. You can tell exactly where we did previous patch jobs, and see how those temporary patches already need fixed again. Any contribution to help us fix our roads properly is greatly appreciated!
