Celso Salim Band/Trip IBC - Memphis
Hi everybody, this is Celso Salim of the Celso Salim Band. We were thriled to win for the second time the 2017 Southern California Blues Society Battle of the Bands last November in Long Beach, CA. The winner gets the oppotunity to compete at the International Blues Challenge 2018 which takes place at the world famous Beale Street in the city of Memphis, TN between January 17th and 21st. As a prize for being 1st place we got 2000 dollars. It's a great help but it doesn't cover all the expenses for a 5-piece band.
We already payed for the air travel and part of the Air BnB with the money we got - 1500 for 5 round trip tickets and 500 went towards the Air BnB house.
The money raised in this campain will be used to cover the remais of our expenses such as food, transportation (including a rental car and uber rides when necessary) and part of our Air BnB for 5 days.
Campain goal breakdown:
Total of 1300 dollars:
400 - car rental
300 - Air BnB (remaining)
600 - Food for 5 band members during 5 days (that's less than 30/day per band member).
It's hard to be an independent artist and have to pay most things by yourself so each dollar that you put in this campain is trully appreciated.
We're very happy to be representing the Southern California Blues Society and we're going to do our best in Memphis!
