I am raising money to start/develop a Youtube channel and website aimed at helping others with Celiac disease, gluten intolerance, gluten sensitivity, and all that wish to live a gluten free lifestyle.
The channel and website will feature recipes, cooking tips, travel advice, and general information pertaining to gluten free living.
The funds will be used to cover filming equipment, filming set/space, software, web domain and design costs, legal (trademark/registration), and Celiac advocacy projects. Every Donor will get a sponsorship credit on one or more episodes, depending on amount donated. My mission is to help others be healthy and truly enjoy living gluten free. I especially want to reach those newly diagnosed with Celiac disease, as this time of transiton can be very challenging and intimidating. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease last year. Prior to my diagnosis I was becoming emaciated and experiencing memory loss, hair loss, and extreme fatigue to name a few symptoms. In addition to Celiac disease, my endoscopies also revealed a hiatal hernia, and a weak LES which both cause significant discomfort and pain. At first I really struggled with my diagnosis and was not sure about how to approach life. It seemed that everything I enjoyed to do was no longer possible; eating my favorite foods, going out with friends to restaurants, and physical activities/ exercise. Through my determination and willingness to explore I have discovered that life can get back to normal by making small changes in my life over time. Given the nature of Celiac disease and gluten intolerance, it all starts in the kitchen. I have created systems and approaches that helped me persevere, and wish to help others by sharing this information. I want to do this in a fun and interactive approach that focuses on exciting dishes that go beyond surviving, but lead to living and thriving.
