Celebration of Life for Terry Hughes Jr.

Donation protected
On July 7, 2019, our beloved Terry Hughes Jr.  passed away at 50 years old, from a heart attack. He was incredibly loved by so many. However, to just say that doesn’t even begin to truly express the depths of what a simply funny, smart, and loving guy he was. If you knew him, I’m sure the thought of him could make you smile or laugh because his sense of humor alone could brighten up even the darkest of days. He taught everyone around him so much about life and was a friend to everyone. He had a heart of gold and was the world’s biggest teddy bear. He led a full life filled with lots of experiences from being a son, brother, father, uncle, grand father, friend, and a very proud Marine.

His life in the Marine Corps started in 1986 and ended in 1992 with his honorable discharge. He served in 1st Force Recon, Scout Sniper with STA Platoon 3/9, and  India Company 3/9 during Desert Storm. His fellow Marines continue to remember him as a teacher and leader during their time together in the Marine Corps. As a combat veteran from the first Gulf War, he is a documented victim of PTSD.

He is survived by his parents, Terry Sr. and Lily . His daughter, Ashley. And his grand children, Kaia and Melania, along with many more family members.

It was Terry Jr.’s wish to be buried in Mojave by his grand mother and other relatives. The family would love to fulfill his wish and donating towards his Celebration of Life will help to honor it. Thank you for all the love, support, any and all help towards bringing Terry Jr. home to his final resting place.
