HOW YOU CAN HELP?

In the wake of last year’s escalating violence against the Rohingya population in Myanmar, hundreds of thousands of vulnerable refugees continue to live in overcrowded camps near the town of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

NGOs in Cox’s Bazar are working hard to meet basic needs, but during monsoon season the conditions in refugee camps have worsened. Heavy rain and cyclonic winds will exacerbate present issues such as landslides, flooding, spread of disease and strained resources. A

My company (Arup) has prepared a global fundraising effort across the firm for this crisis that affects to all the Rohingya population in the refugee camp.

Donations from this fundraising effort will support already strained services that NGOs on the ground are providing as the number of refugees rapidly increases and provide relief during the anticipated monsoon season.

The funds will be sent to the following organizations:

1. Save the Children (StC)
2. Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)
3. Caritas Internationalis (CAFOD/CRS)

I will be withdrawing the donations, and in behalf of Arup we will send them to the oganizations mentioned above.
