Spent $$ I Didnt Have To Save My Dog

Today CC was attacked by a pitbull. While I did not see damage that I couldn't handle caring for myself I took her to the vet just to check and see. She is not a dog who knows how to handle herself in a fight. She's happy and goofy and loveable and I was worried that there might be more damage than I could access myself. Apparently I was right as she had multiple gashes across her side and puncture wounds near her neck. The vet ended up needing to preform minor surgery and administer a medication regimen. I paid for it without thinking because she's family and not only would I be devastated without her but she's my four year olds best friend. The vet bill was then also drastically higher than I expected coming in at 410$. This comes two days before a trip I have to make to another portion of the state for a candidate I'm helping. I have made the total 450$ to offset the fees taken by gofundme. Thank you to everyone willing to help.
