‘CCB Adopt-a-Bench’– Club Terrace Fundraising
As many of you will have noticed, there have been a number of important improvements to the club’s playing infrastructure over the last couple of years. However, time waits for no man, or bench for that matter, the wooden furniture in front of the terrace is showing its age. Put bluntly, the Bloemendaalse woodworm community has been having an absolute feast - the terrace benches, tables and chairs must be replaced immediately.
Befitting a club of CBB’s stature, we should replace the existing stock with quality, longer lasting, traditional, outdoor furniture, on which, the members will be proud to spend the summer months. In order to do this without impacting our continued investment in playing, coaching and cricketing infrastructure, we wish to appeal to the club’s friends for funds. CCB has started a fundraising campaign - ‘CCB Adopt-a-Bench’ - aimed at raising the necessary twelve thousand five hundred euros needed to acquire quality outside terrace furniture.
Generous individuals, families or friends can opt to contribute to the cost of whole teak benches or, simply, to purchase a few legs. For those of you, that contribute 500 euros or more to the appeal, if you so wish, the club benches will display a small brass plaque with the name of the kind benefactor(s).
