Nacho gave Taco worms! What a jerk!

Donación protegida

***UPDATE*** My people are good people. This is fairly obvious from the fact that this mess was almost fully funded in a day. That said, any overage will be applied to Taco's post-op visit in 7 days, and then to Nacho's full spectrum of innoculations and blood work and rabies and all that stuff as soon as can be arranged. And if there's anything after that, it'll be donated to our local Humane Society where we adopted Taco in the first place, because they are ALSO good people and do fine work and need a new roof.

OP:    So.  Taco had himself an adventure, stayed out all night, and got into a fight that he apparently lost. While that's not really a suprising thing for a cat, he managed to snap off his upper canine and now needs dental work, x-rays, anesthesia, the whole shebang. He's got some sweet anime-style facial scars too, but they're fine. I put goop on them, they're good. Also, we have formally adopted the porch cat called Nacho! She's chill, but has worms, which she immediately gave to Taco, because they are butts and that is some butt behavior right there. (Literally, passed between them via a shared litter box.)

So Taco is at the vet now getting his work done, Nacho is under my bed processing her deworming meds, and we're looking at a pretty substantial vet bill for the pair of 'em.  The grand total is hovering at about $740, and I'm assured it won't be more than that, but it's just more than we can cover at one time. Having pets is expensive and emotionally traumatic, but worth it, no?
