Cathy W medical care

In January 2019 Bill had hip replacement surgery, while he was recovering from that it was discovered that Cathy had an aortic  aneurysm and an iliac aneurysm. She ended up having to have an emergency surgery to correct those aneurysms.  There were complications and in the end Cathy underwent 9 surgeries and spent 6 weeks in the hospital. While she was still recovering, in May 2019 Bill fell and broke his ankle. He had surgery on June 6th and is still completely non weight-bearing. On June 12th 2019 Cathy suffered a  Subdural hematoma which is a pool of blood between the brain and its outermost covering. This was most likely caused by the blood thinner she was prescribed to keep the blood flowing through the by-pass. Cathy had emergency surgery to relieve the blood from the brain, within 24 hours she had to have a second surgery due to a blood clot that formed in her brain, she is currently in the hospital trying desperately to recover from this trauma. Her current status is critically ill but stable. Although we have had signs that she knows we are here and she can follow simple commands such as wiggling her toes and giving us thumbs up, she has only opened her eyes for brief moments. At this moment Cathy has no mobility on the right side of her body, we will not know the extent of the damage until she is fully awake.  We only know that she will have physical deficits for the rest of her life.  Sadly during all of this Bill was informed that the company he has been employed at for the past 30 years will be closing their doors forever and his medical insurance will be ending as of July 30th.  At this moment the family is facing high medical bills, high monthly prescription costs and high co-pays. Their current home is not wheelchair accessible so it is very likely we will need to find alternative housing for them. Neither Bill or Cathy are able to work right now so we are going to be looking into options for them however with the escalating medical costs and the potential housing cost we are seeking help for Cathy and Bill to get through the next couple of months until we can get them the help they so desperately need.  Any help would be greatly appreciated by the family!! Wal-mart gift cards for groceries, gas cards for Bills transportation to and from the hospital or any donation towards the medical and housing expenses would help so much.
