The family of Cathryn (Cathi) are asking for donations to help pay for her funeral and other associated costs. We appreciate any amount and we thank you for helping us to remember a person who was so special in many of our hearts. She may have left us unexpectedly but her memory will live with us forever.
On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 Cathryn "Cathi" Ann Cacurak, loving mother of two children, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, passing away at age 48 in Winter Springs, Florida. Cathryn was born on March 14, 1970 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Donna Cacurak. She is the youngest of three siblings.
She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence E. Cacurak. She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Abood and husband Andrew of Orange Park, Florida, son, Spenser Foster of Winter Springs, Florida, mother, Donna Cacurak of Butler, Pennslyvania, brother Geoffrey Cacurak and wife Polly of Coral Springs, Florida, sister, Colleen Waggoner of Bossier City, Louisiana, grandchildren Aayden and Alexis Abood, nieces and nephews, Lauren and Justin Waggoner, and Nicole and Samantha Cacurak. She is also survived by a plethora of friends who loved her very much.
Cathi loved to love. Above all, she loved her children. She loved her family, friends, and pets so deeply. She loved Nascar, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and playing Candy Crush. She loved watching her favorite television shows and ice skating. She loved to read and listen to music.
Most of Cathi's career she worked in investments, as an Account Operations Specialist. She found the most joy in her work when bringing delight to others. Cathi also found joy in the simple things in life. She loved taking care of others and always believed in the best of everyone. She had the biggest heart and wore it on her sleeve. She had an eagerness and willingness to help anyone in need. She had a contagious smile, lighting up every room her presence was in. She is leaving behind a legacy of her kind, beautiful, loving spirit.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at four in the afternoon, at Banfield Funeral Home, 420 W State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida.
