Cath in College Scholarship

For the past four years, I have captured and shared my experience as an undergraduate student at Stanford University through my lifestyle video blog, Cath in College. With each sunlit video and candid conversation, I have done my best to encourage my Dear Readers and Dear Viewers to cultivate their intellectual vitality, share their perspectives, and become true students of the world. Throughout this incredible journey, I have been constantly amazed by this vibrant global community of life-livers.

And now that I'm graduating and the Cath in College project is coming to a close, I want to give back.

Announcing the Cath in College Scholarship! This spring, my team and I will be awarding a monetary scholarship to one lucky high school junior, high school senior or college undergraduate student to put towards tuition, textbooks, housing -- anything that plunges the average college student into debt.

Glad you asked! Simply donate as much as you can by using this official fundraising page. If you don't have the means to donate, PLEASE share this page on your social media accounts. (And be sure to tag Cath in College or Catherine Goetze!)

This sounds cool, but exactly where will my money go if I donate?
Great question. My team and I will award 100% of the proceeds to one deserving Dear Reader/Dear Viewer on the condition that the funds will go towards an education-related expenditure. If we surpass our goal, we may expand the Cath in College Scholarship to recognize two or three recipients.

How will the Cath in College Scholarship recipient be chosen?
Our team is currently in the process of putting together a scholarship application similar to those for college admissions. (Applicants can expect to write one or two short essays.) From there, our team will review applications holistically with care. While we will consider factors such as financial need and academic merit, we are looking for passion, energy, and a genuine drive to learn.
