Casting for Recovery Victoria

Casting for Recovery Victoria Inc is a non profit organisation that runs fully paid for Fly Fishing Retreat  for people who have had Breast Cancer.  Most of the volunteers running the Retreat have either had or know someone who has had Breast Cancer and are wanting to give something a little different to those also going through the cancer journey.  Casting for Recovery  has been running Retreats in the USA for 20 years and the feedback from the Participants has been amazing.  Canberra has been holding Retreats for the last few years with great success and now it's Victoria's turn. We will be holding our first Retreat at Eildon in September and need the funds to make this a positive experience for the Participants emotionally, socially and physically.  As well as learning the basics of Fly Casting (no experience necessary) there will be a relaxing pampering afternoon, delicious locally sourced food and very comfortable accomodation.  Everything is provided, all the Participants need to do is come along, learn something new, escape from the cancer world for a weekend, meet some new people, get pampered and have some fun.   Obviously the more money we can raise the more people we can hold Retreats for.  The Retreats are estimated to cost around $10,000 each and we are hoping for two or three Retreats a year throughout Victoria.  Please visit the website for more information about the Casting for Recovery  story and our planned Retreat program.
