Casper Heartworm Treatment!

"Meet Casper the Friendly Dog! Austin German Shepherd Rescue saved him from euthanasia at a shelter in Robstown, TX. He was most likely displaced by Hurricane Harvey, but that is all we know about his history.  .  After Casper joined the AGSDR, we learned to prepare him for his adoptive loving home, he would require treatment for both heartworms and after a long recovery would need cryptoid surgery for his neuter.  


Casper's medical foster mom will need to keep him on low activity for many months leading up to and after his Heartworm treatment which is scheduled for November 10th.  He will be re-tested for Heartworms 6 months after his treatment, and if clear, will be able to have his cryptoid neuter surgery.  Casper is currently on medication in preparation for his Heartworm treatment in November.

 Casper is only 1 year 6 months old and weighs 51lbs.  He is a very sweet boy with a calm demeanor.  We need your help in funding his upcoming medical care.  Please consider donating towards his Heartworm treatment and future cryptoid neuter surgery.
