Help Cashew conquer cancer

Donation protected
Cashew has been to the vet four times and the wounded mass on his chin could not be diagnosed. He’s been on antibiotics, taken cultures to see if it’s a bacterial infection, and anything else the vets could think to diagnose it.  Finally on May 30 he had the tumor removed and a week later it was confirmed to be cancer.

Cashew has basoquamous carcinoma. A very rare but aggressive cancer.  Today the oncologist told us there is a 100% chance it will return.  He is scheduled to have xrays and other procedures to find out if it has spread. From there, he will either have a choice of several procedures (including radiation or surgery to remove part of his jaw to remove any remaining cells) or chemo or palliative care in the case that it has already spread .

Cashew’s vet and oncologists bills are piling up quickly. Besides his present condition, Cashew is blind with skin allergies, dry eye, etc. The options to help him battle are expensive and already added to the list of his care. His insurance stated that it was a preexisting condition from a cut on his chin a year ago. The vets are trying to prove they are unrelated, but right now it’s a waiting game.  I want to make the best decision based on his care, not on the bill.  Cashew is a sweetheart and I can’t imagine not doing what’s best for him.
