Cash for Cash "My Dog"

Donation protected

Hi my name is Chris,  I adopted my Pit Bull "Cash" from the Sheboygan Humane Society 4 and 1/2 years ago on February 26th "which is Johnny Cash's Birthday btw", he was a whole 4 months old.  Cash was returned 3 times in 3 months there, I was told he was too much work.  But I didn't care what other people thought, I fell for the little guy and I wanted to help the Pit Bull breed out because they get such a bad rep and they are such great dogs.

Cash recently fell ill this past November in 2016, the sac around his heart filled with fluid and was compressing his heart, basically his whole body was shutting down and he was going to die.  I got him to my vet "Healthy Paws in Sheboygan Falls, who has taken of Cash all of his life and you can feel the love they have for animals there"  there they ran some tests and came back and they told me to get him to Lakeshore ER vet in Port Washington ASAP!

On the way to the ER vet in Port, my luck worsened.  Believe it or not, the engine in my Jeep spun a cam bearing in the motor and I was stranded.  Luckily my girlfriend "Michelle" who has been amazing with this whole thing got done with work at that exact time and picked us up and got us to the vet in time.

Lakeshore ER vet found that the sac around Cash's heart filled with a fluid and he was going to die if not helped.  The ER vet told me that this could be a one time event with this happening or it could happen again, and if it does, they will recommend surgery to remove a piece of the sac around his heart so it can't fill up again.

With the ER procedure, with all the testing, the ultrasound and the care at my vet and the ER that day, I was up to $2300.00 that needed to be paid that day. I luckily had enough in my savings account to cover everything, I also had to get a new vehicle since mine broke that day.

With the help of my brother Gene, I managed to find a car to get me from A to B so that part was done.  Then it happened, Cash started getting sick.  He was throwing up, he has no energy, everything pointed at the heart condition from November.  I rushed Cash to the ER again and once again his heart was being crushed by the fluid.  The ER Doctor drained the fluid again and said Cash needs the surgery if I want him to live.  With this happening again, my savings also got "drained" again with the vet bill being almost $1.000.00.

The ER vet gave me and estimate on what the surgery will cost,  I'm looking at another $4,000.00.
I have a consultation on March 27th with the surgeon at the ER vet and that is $95 just for that.

Cash needs this surgery as soon as possible if he's going to live.  I'm not one who usually asks for help, but like I told my friend Stacy, Cash's life is worth more then my pride!  Any help would be greatly appreciated and would give Cash many more happy years, and would give me many more happy years with him!

If you would be willing to donate, I wouldn't have the words, but I would be eternally greatful!

And so would Cash!!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
