This is Carter, she is two years old and has cancer.

On April 25, 2018, Carter was taken to her physician for a sick visit. For two weeks, she had been battling a cough and we noticed what appeared to be a few small freckles on her face and neck.

An hour later, after her bloodwork results were in, we were instructed to take the 90 minute drive to the children's hospital as soon as possible.
In the ER, our family received the devestatingly shocking news she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a blood cancer.

This little body endured four surgical procedures to help her fight this battle.

Needless to say, it was difficult to watch Carter go through this. The whole stay she was frightened and many times depressed.

Through it all, she tried to make the best of it and give us a rare smile.

Finally, after 10 days, we were thankfully released to go home!

She is so happy to be home.

Carter's chemotherapy treatment plan has a duration of at least 2 years and 2 months. We have a very long and hard road ahead of us!
During this time, our family of 5 will be forced to live on one income as I (her mother) will be out of work for 6-8 months to provide continuous care for our precious baby girl!
We are very hopeful and optimistic the treatment will be a success, however, we are quickly realizing that we will not be able to do this on our own.
There are many of you who ask "How can we help? What do you need?" This is where you come in. You guys are all our family and we are in dire need of your help in any shape or form.
