Carter Acuff's Medical Campaign

Donation protected
Carter is a sweet, shy, sensitive seven-year-old boy who has a very positive attitude with the ability to make a very good pun on the fly. He is into Minecraft, Star Wars, and Pokemon. He is a straight A student who loves math and geology. Carter is loved by his teachers and classmates at Pleasant Ridge Elementary and hopes to return to second grade in the fall if everything goes as planned.

Since the fall, Carter had been dealing with foot pain and was diagnosed with Kolher's disease, which affects bones in the foot. He would get intense pain when he was bearing weight on the foot which would cause him issues while attending school. This winter Carter had been visiting the doctor because of unrelated illnesses that would not seem to go away. After multiple visits blood was finally drawn which led the doctors to realize there was a very low blood count. When the low blood count was discovered, Carter and family were instructed to go to the Emergency Room at Children's Hospital to determine what was wrong. At the Emergency Room, they discovered that Carter had B-Cell  Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

His treatment plan consists of mainly six months of varying degrees of chemotherapy in addition to multiple medications on a regular basis, which could include multiple hospital visits.

Carter and family will use the funds in order to help with medication, hospital bills and family expenses while in the hospital during this time of intense treatments.

Brandon, Carter's father, works full time but hourly as a Physical Therapist Assistant. His work has been super accommodating but also could leave him with multiple days without working and pay. Brandon and family plan to use the funds to pay for only medical bills the cost could total up to over $35,000 over the next three years.

Please consider any donation amount. Carter and family will be thankful for anything. Cheers!
