Dr. Carroll Thompson, Christ For The Nations Institute professor, spiritual father, pastor, prophet and apostle to many, went to be with the Lord Sept. 26, 2016, at the age of 82. He lived a fruitful life and is now enjoying his reward in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Dr. Thompson went to be with the Lord at 11 a.m. Sept. 26 after completing his morning class at CFNI. This year, he celebrated 63 years of full-time ministry. He served CFNI faithfully for over 44 years, since 1972, teaching such classes as The Ministry of Jesus, The Order of Righteousness, Freedom Through Deliverance, Pentateuch and many others. He ministered in over 35 nations and helped establish CFNI in Romania. Dr. Thompson wrote three books – The Bruises of Satan, Alienation and You Can Be Righteous.
Amid the tears and sense of loss, we celebrate his impactful life and enduring legacy. A general in the faith, we know he has joined that ‘great cloud of witnesses’ and can only hope to run our race as he did, strong in the faith and full of the grace and glory of God.
While we both mourn his loss and celebrate his graduation to Heaven, as CFNI friends and family, we want to make you aware of an immediate need of Dr. Thompson's family. He has poured into CFNI and our students for more than 40 years. The funeral expenses alone are more than $16,000. This leaves an incredible burden on his children and his wife, Ms. Joyce, who is still with us. It also gives an opportunity, for those of us who have received so much from him, to give back to the family of the one who gave.
All gifts will go directly to the family to cover any needs they may have in addition to the immediate funeral expenses.
Over the years, this family has selflessly served many people. They have chosen to lay up treasures in Heaven, rather than here on Earth. As the Body of Christ and a CFNI family, let’s show them our love and support in this challenging time!
