As many of you now know, or may not know, Joe is critically ill and has been hospitalized since January. What started out in December as Guillain-Barre syndrome has now been properly diagnosed as Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (blood cancer), which has severely attacked Joe's nerves, leaving him paralyzed, on a trach and ventilator and feeding tube. He is currently receiving treatment at Sierra Vista Hospital in ICU and will hopefully remain in San Luis County for long-term acute rehabilitation. Joe has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
