Carole Morrow Memorial Service

My mother, Carole Morrow, died of a combination of lung and bone cancer on June 2nd 2018. Mother was a wonderful woman who lived an interesting life. She taught special education for 30 years and frequently praised for the care and education she provided her pupils. In her younger years she traveled extensively and visited places most only dream of. She was a loving and generous soul who permanently enriched those who knew her.
Education was like religion to her. She lived and breathed information. It is because of her that myself and others developed a zest for learning.
However, in the early 90s she suffered a traumatic brain injury that changed our lives forever. She could no longer plan ahead the way she used to. Her memory started to slip. During the great recession of the early 2000s her limitations really became apparent and we lost our house. For the next ten years we struggled to keep our heads above the water. We managed to survive, but it also meant she wasn't able to leave anything behind for her eventual cremation and funeral.
Getting back her ashes will be around $1900 and I cannot afford that. In lieu of getting her ashes back I'd like to hold a memorial and wake for all of her friends and family. Anything at all is tremendously helpful and appreciated.
