Carol's Breast Cancer Battle

From the family and friends of Carol Harbaugh: Carol has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic ER/PR Negative, HER-2 Positive Breast Cancer. This is a rare version of the HER-2 Breast Cancer with no known cure at this time. The cancer has metastasized to her bones, adrenal glands, kidneys, among other areas. Carol is beginning palliative chemotherapy in an effort to shrink the enlarged tumors under her arm and on her neck, to relieve the extreme pain in her bones, and to stop the progression of the cancer.

Carol’s family and friends have established this page to allow everyone who has offered to help a means to support Carol and Jim. Carol’s goal is to work as long and as much as she can but it will be in a reduced role. We are currently requesting funds to offset her large medical insurance deductible. They have an initial $18,000 out of pocket to pay in medical bills.

Carol has always been the caretaker for others in need. She is not used to being the one needing help.
