Carol Koty Head Shave 95.9 The Fox

Cancer.  For so many, it is such an ugly word.  It is synonymous with disease, sadness, suffering, and death.  Personally, I see the people behind the word: the survivors, the fighters, and the friends and family by their side.  I see the courage, the bravery, the determination, and the optimism.  I see the faces that have overcome, the faces that are battling their enemy, and the faces of the people that have lost their battle but have left their mark on those of us still here.  It is for those faces that I have decided to make October 2017 my month to publicly fight with them.  In a world filled with environmental tragedy, violence, and political turmoil, we can unite against this disease.  We must find a cure.

For those of you who are just meeting me, I am known in my circle and on the competitive culinary scene as the Purple Chef with the Fiery Red Hair.  For those of you close to me, you already know how attached I am to my Ariel red hair.  In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, along with First Thing Fairfield County with Ken Tuccio on 95.9 The Fox, I will be shaving my head to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

I will be broadcasting my head shave for the world to see and hear with First Thing on 95.9 The Fox and my social media outlets on November 1st, 2017.  Please help us to fight cancer and get rid of this ugly word.  Any donation is immensely appreciated and makes an impact.  Thank you!!!
