On March 29th Carne Lowgren tragically died in a highway accident.
Carne touched the lives of all who knew him. He made us better people through his wry humor, sharp wit, keen observation, playfulness, and devout love for life, family, and friends. He had the talent and mental acuity to become a doctor or a lawyer but instead chose to be a modern-day renaissance man. Skilled in the back-country he could survive, or thrive, in the most adverse conditions. His writings could elicit respect and calm debate from those with opposing ideologies. His musical paying could be tenderly beautiful or brash and aggressive depending upon the mood or texture he felt was needed. His love of life was highly contagious. These are only some of the reasons why we love and respect Carne.
Although Carne was always a responsible man, he never made the salary of a doctor or a lawyer. This campaign is to assist Deb in the cost for providing two memorials; one in Bishop and the other in San Luis Obispo. The Bishop memorial will be at the Tri-County Fair Grounds on April 20th and the San Luis Obispo memorial will be on May 4th. All funds raised will go to Deb to assist in the costs of transportation, food, rentals, cremation, and other memorial related incidentals. Your support in any amount is GREATLY appreciated.
