It's been a while since we've posted an update! Carly has been doing miracuously well after her trial treatment in TX. If you're interested in spending time with Carly and her family:

My sister Kristi and I have setup this GoFundMe campaign to help our childhood friend Carly continue her fight to end cancer. For the past two years, Carly has fought bravely against a very rare type of synovial sarcoma lung cancer. She has had surgery to remove one lung and has gone through many rounds of chemo. This past week she and her family were told the latest cancer drug isn't working. At this time there is only one more chemo to try. Also, there are no clinical trials right now in the Midwest.
This GoFundMe campaign will help Carly with travel and medical expenses for her to continue her cancer fight in Texas. *All donations go directly to Carly as this is an "on behalf of" page.

Over the past two and a half years since I was diagnosed I have felt like I was living a nightmare that keeps getting worse and worse. With the cancer coming back multiple times, complications, hospitalization, infections, treatment failures and more. Sometimes I feel like I am suffocated with fear. My biggest fear is leaving my family. I don't want to leave my son mother less, to have my husband lose his soulmate. I just attended a funeral for a 21 year old man and the parents kept saying that these were the worst days of their lives, I don't want to be that for my parents. I want to beat this cancer so that I can take care of them as they age, to see my son turn into a man and to grow old with my husband. I am not giving up anytime soon! I have made an appointment at MD Anderson in Texas to get a second opinion and to see if there are any trials that I can get into. I can't figure out how to give thank yous on gofundme since I did not create it so I want to thank everyone that has supported me, encouraged me, told me that I inspire them, and to everyone that has donated to this fund. Because you all have given me hope and have inspired me to keep going, keep fighting! Please share this post to help me and my family with travel and medical expenses. Love you all
Carly is feeling pretty overwhelmed, sad, and depressed. She knows there is no cure but, she is hoping for a lot more time and maybe even a miracle. Please pray for Carly, her husband, young son and her family! ❤️

A message from Carly: Please try to live moment to moment each day grabbing at as much joy as possible, and be kind to others. This whole experience has changed me and I can no longer look at the world the same way. This cancer has taken so much from my family and I. It affects everyone around you. I am going to keep fighting til the very end!
