Caring Cards SS Sandy to Louisiana

Note - All funds will go towards the purchase and distribution of Gift Cards.  There are no employees or people getting paid to do this.

I was watching the news showing the flooding in LA. Pictures of family's belongings out on the front lawn, damaged and destroyed. Homes gutted -  lives interrupted. It brought back so many memories of the contents of our home piled up as trash, ruined on the lawn, photos gone, kids crying. Most memories are not so good, but there were a few bright spots when someone showed up to help; to give a hand without asking.

Those of us that experience the flooding, destruction, emotional hardship and month/years of aggravation from Hurricane Sandy are going to reach out to those in Louisiana. We have been through it and know what it's like. We lost our home in South Jersey from Hurricane Sandy, but we did not loose our Spirit.  It's important for us all to let them know we have their backs!!

We are going to raise funds to send gift cards to the family's.  We will work with official in schools and churches so that they get into the right hands.  

Everyone always wants to help and although clothes and furniture are needed, some donations never make it or no one has the time or staff to go through all the items.

Gift cards can but a family dinner, clothes, supplies, whatever they decide they need.
