Caribou DECA National Competition

The Caribou Maine DECA club is comprised of a group of talented students from the Caribou area who are learning about various aspects of business and marketing. They recently competed and did exceptionally well at the State competition in Portland, competing with 90 students from across the state. Because they won first in their respective events, they have earned the privilege to compete at the DECA International Career and Development Conference (ICDC) in California!

DECA students are focused on learning about the elements of business and marketing, and the club uses a combination of real-world and role-playing scenarios to help the students learn how to improve company performance, solve complex business problems or take advantage of business opportunities.

These students have worked hard throughout the school year and are continuing to put the final touches on their projects, finish a few practice rounds and get ready to compete at the National event. However, it is very expensive for us to travel to California to compete, and we are looking for help from those who are able to contribute to these students and would like to see them grow and learn from this to become better leaders in the future.
