Cantomucad Elementary School Charity Drive

Did you know that in the Philippines, 1 in 6 kids do not go to school? Only 7 out of 10 kids will graduate from elementary, only 4 will proceed to complete high school, and maybe 1 person will continue on to university. In developing nations, this scenario is very common. Due to extremely high levels of poverty, many families will have to choose between feeding their children or sending them to school.

For our birthdays this year, my sister and I are asking for donations to help fund a school supply drive that we will be doing this coming August. We have chosen to partner up with Cantomucad Elementary School from our hometown of Loon, Bohol. The school has a current enrolment of 120 students from Grades 1-6. We will be providing them with essential school supplies including pens, pencils, notebooks, and the likes. And if any of you have extra school supplies lying around at home that you have no use for anymore, we would be more than happy to take them off your hands!

We spent many wonderful childhood days here and we want to do the same for these kids. Every little bit of help you can provide will go a long way in making a tremendous difference in these students' lives as well as their families. This has been something we've wanted to do for a very long time and we hope you will consider contributing to our cause as a way to celebrate with us.
