Fundraiser in aid of canine epilepsy research.

Who is Skipper?
Skipper was the most gentle, loving dog we'd ever met and we had the pleasure of fostering him last summer while he waited for his new forever home to come along. Even though Skipper had epilepsy and was on lots of medication, it didn’t stop him. He was always happy and loving life, especially if he had a tennis ball or something squeaky!
Then one day, we met the most amazing couple, Susan & Steve who wanted to adopt him! We took him on a home visit and Skipper’s face as he stood in their doorway said it all…..he was home.
Shortly after, Skipper was officially adopted and he went off to live in the beautiful Brockhampton Estate with Susan & Steve who literally could not do enough for him. He really had landed on his paws and it was lovely to see how happy he was every time we visited.
Unfortunately, after only 11 short months in his new home, Skipper’s epilepsy became uncontrollable as he had become tolerant of all epilepsy medication. Border collies in particular are one of the hardest breeds to treat and after trying everything possible, in Skipper’s best interest, the decision was made to let him go and set him free.
Now, in his memory we have organised this fundraiser to raise money for canine epilepsy research. Every penny raised will go directly to ‘Royal Veterinary College University of London’ to help with their vital ongoing research of epilepsy in canines.
