Cancer Is More Than Physical!

Donation protected
God said "I need you to survive this storm!" in August 2016.

He never told me what the storm was just told me to survive. September 2016, I found a lump in my right breast while taking a shower and instantly started praying. I've always stayed on top of my mammograms since my aunt on my dad side was diagnosed with "Triple Negative Breast Cancer" at the age of 68 (and she's still alive and well). My grandmother on my dad's side passed away of breast cancer at 35, so you already know I'M ON MY CHECK UPS.

Fast forward to October 31, 2016, I am getting my 2nd opinion from Dr. Bonnie Sun of John's Hopkins a Breast Specialist tells me "It's likely a benign tumor. Something like a fibroid tumor. Everything is pointing to that but we'll remove it." So I schedule my surgery for November 8th and this storm unfolds. On Friday, November 11, 2016 at 7:20 am I answer the phone and hear that the tumor is "cancerous" from Dr. Sun and the world I once knew fell all on my chest. My life changed. My normal changed. Everything I once knew as my life changed!

Cancer.....Cancer....Cancer! #GodKnew

So here we are today! I have chemo and radiation attached to this storm God asked me to survive. The first round of treatments - 4 rounds of Big Red aka the devil are hell but I survived. I have 12 more weekly treatments of chemo (3 are finished so far) that have been kinder than Big Red but these treatments are costly - emotionally, mentally and physically to say the least.   After chemo I have radiation treatment EVERYDAY for a month and then I'm free to figure out my new normal (whatever that may be). Oh yeah, I have 2 more surgeries that compliment all I'm going through.

During this storm the financial impact has been more devastating than I expected. The medical bills that keep growing even after I get the doctor report NO MORE EVIDENCE OF CANCER stay. I thank God for health insurance through my job because Lord only knows where I would be if I didn't have it. #GodKnew

So in a nutshell that's part of what my storm looks like. Cancer has hit me in ways that only my FAITH IN GOD has me surviving this. This gofund me campaign all funds will go to paying these medical bills that grow with every treatment even though the cancer I faced are all gone. So I thank you in advance for any and all support! #CancerIWin #CancerIsNotJustPhysical
