CANCER TREATMENT for TRAVIS

Donation protected

Friends & Family,

This past May marked three years in Travis’s battle with cancer. For the last 15 months, Travis has been on constant chemotherapy to treat his stage 4 colon cancer. That includes several port chemo’s via infusion every-other week, one phase 2 clinical trial and one phase 3 clinical trial. Non-stop therapy with the exception of a week when he had a blood clot in his lung and a week when we got married.

As all of you know, Travis is a FIGHTER. He is the strongest person I have ever known. I’ve seen first hand what this chemo can do to a person. It is not pretty. It can be a daily struggle. He goes through so much on these treatments. He amazes me at how he can still beam that beautiful smile of his even on his worst days. Travis works so incredibly hard. He does his chemo treatments Friday through Sunday so that he is ready to work at UPS Tuesday through Friday the following week.

We are on an uphill battle. With his tumor marker on the rise since late last year, he has challenged his doctors on finding a chemotherapy that will work for his disease. This has been difficult. We were told that Travis has DEPLETED the available medicines to treat him with. He is on the list for new clinical trials. We declined a phase 1 trial that was offered to him a few weeks ago, as it would be the first time tested on HUMANS and he would spend 8 consecutive days in Seattle getting blood draws every 15 minutes for 12 hours a day. Quality of life is very important to Travis and this was not an option.

I have a dear, close friend that reached out to me demanding I watch a documentary on Amazon Prime called, ‘Cancer Can be Killed’. This is where Travis’s story of becoming cancer free will begin. I know it! Several treatments are offered in Europe, Germany in our case, that the FDA has not made available here in the U.S.

One of the treatments is Hyperthermia. Simply put, cancer doesn’t like heat. Once cancer cells are heated above approximately 105 degrees Fahrenheit their metabolism starts to break down. This halts further growth and causes the cells to die. That means tumor shrinkage and slower progression of disease.

While they perform hyperthermia treatment every other day, you are on therapies like; Laetrile, Thymus Therapy, herbal supplements, ozone therapy (oxygenate your blood), Autologous Stem Cell Therapy, Tri-functional antibodies, Chelation, Vitamin C, Calcium EDTA, Myers’ Cocktail, Dioxychlor, Glutathione, liver support and many more IV infusions. All while eating a complete alkaline diet with limited red meat and no refined sugars.

With your immune system at its best, they then do Dendritic Cell Therapy. The laboratory will work on Travis’s blood for 8 days. They will concentrate his body’s Dendritic cells on correctly identifying his body’s cancer as a threat, then they will reintroduce those cells into his system, the ‘trained’ cells can boost his body’s capacity to work AGAINST the cancer. The idea is to have Travis’s specific cancer battled by HIS OWN enhanced or boosted self immunity---a tailored cancer treatment vaccine! You guys, this MAKES sense! No chemotherapy- that kills his good cells and lowers his immune system to a terrifying low, with side effects that are completely awful.

If you have time, please read up on this! Some lucky individuals are getting T-cell immunotherapy in clinical trials with diseases like lymphoma here in the states (literally on the floor above where Travis gets his chemotherapy at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance). It is not being tried on colorectal cancer at this time, and Travis, unfortunately does not have the time to wait until it is.

Travis’s friends & family CARRIED him through his first year with this disease. He could not have done it without your help. That has never left his heart & mind. It is difficult for him to ask for help, but we are at the point.

Travis’s doctor said we are out of options other than clinical trial chemotherapy. In time, his cancer will spread throughout his body and to his major organs. We are desperate for this treatment and are hoping to be able to go in August or September as time is of the essence. My mom is selling her 1978 Z28 Camaro and Patty, Travis’s mom is selling her motor-home to help out.

I have created this go fund me for those who can and want to help get Travis to Germany for this advanced, once in a lifetime treatment. I will blog his journey and treatments and will become an advocate for ANYONE who needs help if they consider this treatment for themselves or a loved one.
