Cancer Treatment Expenses for the Man in Pink
Donation protected
As some of you may know, our Dad, Brian Moore aka the Man in Pink, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma last year. This July, he went in for a second opinion and it appears the cancer has grown.
Treatment here in Reno has given him a 50% chance of being successful. We are hoping for more than that. Dad has reached our to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Phoenix and they seem to think they can help him and give him a better chance of beating this. Treatment is covered by insurance but he will have to cover the copays of about $4500, as well as travel expenses to go there for treatment. We're hoping he'll be able to head there is the next week or so to begin treatment
Dad is currently working but his company is due to close their Reno facility shortly and Dad will be laid off and most likely will lose his private insurance. Thankfully, he will still have Medicare which will still cover most medical expenses.
This man chose to take on two children who were not his own. He raised my brother and I and loved us when he didn't have to. He then became a single dad when our Mother was taken by breast cancer (hence the pink shirt he wears for her).
Any little bit of help is appreciated and anything that is donated and not used will be then donated to a non-profit cancer foundation to be determined at a later date. Even a simple share is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your time.
