Cancer Sucks, Support Sean Dayton's Battle

Donation protected
We all know cancer sucks... it destroys lives. My brother Sean was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November 2018. He was having some pain in his side: he went to a walk in clinic, they sent him to the ER and within 3 hours, a Dr. walked into his room and said, "We think you have cancer, we are admitting you." then turned around and walked out. Can you imagine being alone in the ER, someone coming in and saying that to you and just walking out? A million questions running through your mind?

Within weeks Sean had a diagnosis and somewhat of a prognosis. Many people survive years with this form of cancer and in rare cases have a normal life span, but Sean is VERY young for this type of cancer. He has been on chemo for the last 3 months and so far, everything is looking good. His pre-transplant labs start March 8, stem cell collection process starts March 16, and the transplant taking place April 3. The goal of this treatment is for him to go into long-term remission from the disease.

Financially things are not as positive. We need your help raising $20,000 to help with medical bills and living expenses. This is all AFTER insurance. Sad, isn't it? We did not pick this number randomly. As of today (2/12/19) Sean already has over $6,000 in medical bills from his first hospital stay and multiple ER visits. This does not even include the $100's and $100's of dollars in co-pays for his prescriptions and weekly doctors visits.

Next step is a bone marrow transplant in a few weeks (March 2019). He will be in the hospital for 2 weeks. The next 2 weeks he must stay near the hospital to be monitored daily (his home is over 90 miles away). After that he can go home but can't leave his house for an additional 2 months.

Total, that is 3 months without pay, 2 weeks in the hospital and all the expense that comes with that, and 2 weeks staying near the hospital for monitoring along with all the expense of not living in your own home.

And during all of this Sean will be in pain, exhausted and worried this entire process may destroy his family financially! Could you afford to loose 3 months of pay? And on top of not getting paid, everyday watching your medical bills rising higher and higher? How would you survive?

Sean and Angie are taking full advantage of the programs they can to help with cost. They have applied for dozens of grants and hardship programs… but we have crunched the numbers and they will still end up over $20,000 in debt.

Please help! Anything you can afford is appreciated. Thank you for reading until the end…

P.S. In thanks of any donation I will call and sign you a song, tell you a joke... anything that will get you to donate more!
