Cancer Messed With the Wrong Dancer

Meet my sister-in-law, Robyn Messerly. Being a busy wife, mom, and dance teacher with dance recitals and competitions in the works, when Robyn noticed GI symptoms, she assumed they were temporary and related to busy life. However, her doctor felt a colonoscopy was indicated, even though she is only 38 years old. A colonoscopy was scheduled, and in May 2019 Robyn was diagnosed with stage 3 colo-rectal cancer.
Robyn's treatment will require chemotherapy (she's currently been undergoing this here in the QC since June), radiation, and surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
This fundraiser is to cover the medical costs associated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and upcoming surgery, as well as to defray costs of traveling for medical appointments and loss of income during the time Robyn will be unable to work.
