Our short film, Killer Spacemen From Outer Planet X, has been accepted to premiere at several film festivals around the world, from as near as Cambridge, Massachusetts to as far as Kitzbuhel, Austria. We are incredibly honored to have our short be a part of these festivals and we would love to be able to attend some of them to hear feedback and to network with other filmmakers across the globe.
The two upcoming festivals we are planning to go to are Screamfest 2017 in Hollywood, CA - Oct. 10 - 19, and The Telluride Horror Show in Telluride, CO - Oct. 13 - 15. Since both festivals run during the same week, we're going to try to make it to both of them in one trip.
These are both very prestigious festivals and it is our privilege to be a part of their programs. It would be foolish of us, or of any aspiring filmmaker, to not attend these events when invited. We have an amazing opportunity to represent Maine filmmaking and everyone who worked on the short film.
But we need help to go. Our income as full-time students and freelance filmmakers just don't make us enough money to attend even one of these festivals. We're hoping to raise $2,500 by Oct. 1st for Airfare, Accommodations, and Meals for the week.
Any donation is appreciated. We're incredibly grateful for all the support we've gotten over the years. We're passionate about making our careers in film and would love to seize this opportunity while we have it.
