Callie's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
I recieved a urgent phone call during my time in my ICU rotation for nursing school, saying that my dog was attacked by a stray dog. Immediately after the incident, Callie's face began to swell and we took her to the vet. The vet said that she potentially could have an abcess and that medication should help to control it. A couple days later, we found an abcess in the back of her mouth that was leaking out puss. We then rushed her to the vet and was told that she needed to get surgery. The vet had to sedate Callie and clean out the abcess. A pentrose drain was placed in her mouth to drain the infection. She is currently on two types of antibiotics as well as pain medication. She will have a long road to recovery and will need follow up check ups to remove the drain and wound care.

She is a 3 year old corgi with a personality like no other, always wanting to  have fun. From playing out in the sun to cuddling in bed, Callie has alaways been the pick-me-up of the family ever since we took her in. Callie and I currently reside in Utah where I am currently studying to becme a nurse. With the bills of nursing school, in addition to the expenses of living alone, paying for rent and food for me and my dog,  this unexpected accident will have a profound impact on my already strained college student budget. I try to set out money for these types of incidents but I was only able to pay a portion of her medical bills. Anything will help, thank you!
