Caitlyn's Missions Trip to Sierra Leone Africa

Donation protected
I have been given an amazing opportunity to be a participant of the AIM Program (Associates in Missions) for a term of 12 months, in Sierra Leone, Africa.  After many years of God dealing with my heart and placing a call to Missions upon my life, I want to answer that call.

At the age of 15, God began to give me dreams and visions of being on foreign soil. However, it was not until some years later that God began to make His calling and plan clear. In August of 2017, at the age of 22, while in a time of personal prayer, I saw what appeared to be a Yshaped image displayed on the ceiling. In that moment God spoke to me, saying,  “What if that’s where you are called to go?”  In the dark, I began to draw in my journal the image or symbol the Lord had shown me.

I began to pray and ask God how to begin looking or discerning what this meant or where He was calling me to go. It was then that an arrow appeared to the left of the image I had previously seen. It was pointing west! So, now I knew the direction, the shape of the country and the destination God was calling me to. For a number of years I felt strongly in my spirit that it was Africa, but God had never confirmed this impression. However, after God spoke to me through that vision, I began to look at Africa. After just a few minutes of searching I saw it on a map. It was the exact same shape that had appeared on the ceiling. The perfect match was the Congo. God was calling me to the Congo!

Although there aren’t any UPCI missionaries currently assigned to the Congo, I am blessed to be joining Rev. Rusty and Sis. Adrienne Riddick, Missionaries to Sierra Leone for a twelve-month term.

Upon my acceptance into the AIM program, I have been saving and doing many fundraisers to raise my twelve month budget of $30,000. I have been greatly blessed by friends, family and church members who have given sacrificially and helped in many fundraisers! I am still in need of PIM partners and still need approximately $15,000 to make my 1-year term budget. This total will provide my remaining budget cost and purchase my round trip airfare.

There is much to be done and so little time to spread the Gospel around this world.  I am excited about what God is going to do in my life and in the lives of the Creoles of Sierra Leone.  I will be teaching Bible lessons, working in the children’s orphanage, aiding with youth ministries, supervising the MK (Missionary Kids) in school and assisting the missionary family and church in various ministry capacities.

I humbly and prayerfully ask you to consider financially supporting my call to Missions and the souls of Sierra Leone. Any one time donation or monthly support amount will be a blessing and is greatly appreciated.  Most importantly, I solicit your continual support of prayer. Without prayer, none of this is possible.  Please be a part of this awesome Gospel opportunity that God has called me to embark upon. I know that you will be greatly blessed for your sacrifice.  Again, thank you for your support and prayers!
