I am a trans man in need of some help with raising some money for top surgery (chest surgery) all funds over the amount will go to a children's hospice that looks after children with cancer.
I could go on and on about how I came out to how I have ended up where I am now, however this is not a sob story., but a young individual who just wants to be able to live life as their authentic self and be able to wake up in the body that is compatible to their mind.
The story for those that want to know ...
I came out as transgender (FTM) in December 2016 (age19), I had known for some time before this that I was and am Caiden. it took me 2 years of knowing and being 1000% sure that this was the correct and right path to take before I came out.
for the past 3 years, I have been walking my path of life and I am truly understanding who I am and have been the happiest I've been since I can remember. For the past 1 year and 6 months I have been on hormone replacement therapy and with every little change that comes, I feel more and more comfortable with my reflection.
With my medical transition, I have had to go private therefore everything comes at a cost. I was originally supposed to be going down the NHS route however after being told i was on the waiting list for almost a year, to then find out that my GP had in fact lied and never placed me on the waiting list (which at the time was a 2/3 year wait for one appointment) things got that bad that I made the decision to go private, yes that was my decision but it was at no point on a financial side stable enough to be able to do it, however my health comes first and I don't look back at taking that option as I am still here today and as stated above so much happier with who I am mentally.
However ! my main source of dysphoria which prevents me from everyday tasks let alone the distant feeling I have between me (living my male authentic self) and my (female looking) body is my chest, everyday i dream of being able to do the small things that sis gendered males may take for granted such as, swimming, taking your shirt off, being able to use the gym showers and so on .. but the main one of all is being able to look in a mirror and see a flat chest .. a chest that resembles a male body and makes that connection with my mentality on a physical level, something only surgery can do unfortunately.
So I am asking those that can to please help me raise the funds for the surgery, I too will be saving funds towards my surgery myself as well, however I do need help and am grateful for any donations, all I am asking for is as little as £2 or whatever you feel you want to donate, any funds raised over my target will be going to a hospice that looks after children with cancer, reason for this is because someone close to me lost their son from it and this hospice does so much to help these young children with such little help towards their work (FranktheTank you will never be forgotten )
