Hello from Caelyn!
This summer, I have the wonderful opportunity of joining a mission trip to Moscow! I will be volunteering at a local church's summer camp helping kids learn and grow in their relationships with both God and each other. There will be workshops, classes, group studies, music, and a ton of fun throughout the week. Our goal is to bless children and young adults in the greater Moscow region as we share the love and grace of God to them.
You can help me in these two ways:
1) Pray! We want to be a blessing both practically and spiritually to the kids coming to this camp, and your prayers for me, our team and the kids are hugely important!
2) Donate! I am responsible for raising all my own funds for the trip. This includes a plane ticket and housing and also covers supplies and crafts for the children I'll meet there and the ability to bring my own instruments to lead worship on site.
Meeting these needs is no small task and I wanted to reach out to my fantastic community of friends and family to show their support for both me and the ministry happening in Russia. We will be leaving in late July but the next month will be spent preparing, planning activities, and gathering materials. Any and all donations would be highly appreciated and the difference that it will make in the lives of so many children is something that would mean the world to me and them. If you know me, you know that I adore building relationships with kids while also sharing about my life and beliefs so this is a dream come true for me to be able to do so in such an encouraging and influential environment. I am thrilled about the impact that this camp has had on so many people and the role that I get to play in that impact.
Overall, this is an immensely wonderful opportunity for not only me but also everyone else attending and volunteering at the camp. I am extremely excited to participate in such a life changing experience and will bring back all sorts of memories, lessons, and adventures. This is my first year heading out to Moscow, but hopefully this will be a trip that I take again as the camp grows and the seeds of ministry are planted throughout Russia.
