CaDana Campbell For Miss Memphis 2015

My name is CaDana Campbell, and I am a senior at Rhodes College studying Political Science. My career ambitions are to become a children and women's advocacy attorney and eventually work as a legislator to create laws protecting the rights of people. When I am not studying or volunteering in the Memphis community, I can be found participating in theatre programs displaying my love for the art form. My life motto is too always reach for the moon, so I will always fall among the stars. Through this, I am motivated to always do my best and give my all in everything that I do.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a love and fascination for the world of pageantry, but I did not have the resources or confidence to compete in one.  Fast forward to about 15 years later, I believe now is my time to finally achieve one of my childhood dreams. I want to become the first African-American woman to win the title of Miss Tennessee and represent my lovely state in the Miss America national pageant. 

To me, this is more than just a Beauty Pageant.  I am on a MISSION to improve our city and show people that no matter your circumstances, dreams can indeed come true through hard work and dedication. Before I was a Rhodes College student, future attorney, or even able to afford to participate in theatre, I was a foster child that was deemed as a negative statistic. My greatest goal for participating in this pageant is to show people that they have the power to change the future, regardless of their past or current circumstances.

Your sponsorship for my endeavor to compete in the Miss Tennessee will not only help me achieve my goals, but it will also help in improving  our community. With that being said, any donations or even words of encouragement offered by you today is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small and every penny will go into preparing for the Miss Tennessee pageant.
